RF Problem! Read.

Postby Gundam » Mon Nov 02, 2009 10:53 am

Okay so if I had:
RF Transmitter 433Mhz
Product code: RF-TX-433

RF Receiver 433Mhz
Product code: RF-RX-433

How do you send data without using serial?
I am using assembly language or PICBasic language.
Thank you.

RF Problem! Read.? You have problem reading? or?

Wireless, very interesting project. I did play with this low cost RF module 2 years back. That time is a bit expensive which I bought from Cytron too. Now is very cheap.

back to your question, if you don want to use serial, what do you want to use? Because there is only 1 data pin. Even if you use encoder or decoder, still it transmits using serial. You can try to use PT2262 and PT2272 and obtain 4 input and output. I think the data sheet of RF module should have shown some simple schematic for it. It is very common in remote control.

If you are using straight forward I/O to obtain wireless command, I would say you don need any sample code, because it just checking I/O pins and setting it. Like reading switches and controlling LEDs to ON and OFF.

Gundam WROTE:Receiver giving random numbers..why?

Gundam, please elaborate more on the problem. Your receiver is giving random numbers of 10101010? or you have translate it into ASCII number and wanted to display number on 7 segment? Are you using encoder or are you using microcontroller? What is the baudrate? Is hard for forum member to help you without any explanation on hardware interface.

is there need to use encoder n decoder if there only 2 inputs required to use the RF technology?

if yes which type of decoder and encoder suitable for this project?

I would recommend you to use PT2262 and PT2272. You try to study the given schematic in the datasheet. Easy understand and easy to use. Good Luck!

thanks for ur info...i'll try to look at it..

this mean i really need to use the encoder and decoder for my project right?

still need an info for this...
after i look up the data sheet, stated there that this 2 component are only compatible with IR technology not with RF technology.

is there still have another encoder and decoder that compatible with RF technology

I have used PT2262 and 2272 with RF module to do my own wireless remote control for small automation. No issue found yet!

Hm...i think u need to scrutinize the datasheet again. The sample connection to use the IC for RF is there. Are u referring to the wrong datasheet?
