Can XBee communicate with XBee Pro?

Postby ngoc_anh » Tue Jul 20, 2010 7:58 pm

Hi,

I have 1 XBee RF Module and 1 XBee Pro starter kit.

_ XBee module is connected to a PIC and a computer using RS232 interface
_ XBee Pro starter kit is connected to another PIC

I'd like to ask whether I can send data from 1 XBee module to another XBee Pro stater kit?

Or only XBee can work with XBee, not with XBee Pro?

Thank you,

should not have any problem doing that, XBee and XBee Pro should be compatible in term of communication protocol. Just the communication distance is differ.

Anyway do make sure the address of both XBee is configure correctly. Easiest way is to use X-CTU to verify on computer.
