RF (315 or 433Mhz) not working

Hi all,

I hv a pair of RF ( dunno 315Mhz or 433Mhz)... with the specs as below :-

The Receiver looks similar to the 315Mhz RF Receiver Cytron is selling...

I'm using 2 Arduino as the MCU to send simple data across using the lowest speed (2400baud)

I could not get it working and was wondering how to troubleshoot if the RF hardware is faulty or they have given me wrong frequencies pair ( 315Mhz to 433Mhz or vice versa )

I confirm I've all the pins correctly.

Do I need an antenna if the distance is near ( same table ) ?

I suspect the Receiver is faulty as it is receiving a lot of noise...

Any idea on how to check or troubleshoot if the TX or RX is faulty ?

Thank you

I've a posting at the Arduino forum but no solution...

Oh... finally an arduino user, I want to ask something about arduino. Heard a lot of arduino, so want to know more before I get myself 1 pcs

I will ask under the arduino category.

About the RF module, if you have extra module, replace it and try it. If you don have try using wire first to verify the software, then change to wireless module. If you have did, there should be some problem on one of the module, either transmitter or receiver, or both :o , hopefully not the last one!

Yes, I've tried that too..

I've tested it by connecting the output pins directly to the input pins on my receiving Arduino to ensure the software is working accordingly.

I've finally returned the RF kit to the shop for testing or replacement...

 finally need to return it? I did spoil this RF before by the reverse power and kill it. Then I learn from mistake, never did that afterward, is a good mistake once you learn something.

I hope they allow me to exchange it.. bcos my case, I tried another friend receiver also cannot work... so I dun think I fried it... ** hopefully **

Those 315/433Mhz RF receiver, kinda funny.. when I google for the datasheet, I saw alibaba was selling it for like US$0.50 per pieces in bulk of 400 pieces...
