can the USB be connected to 18F series of PICs...?? because the serial port is used for another application.....

Depends. Which PIC18F are you using?

Not all PIC18F can support USB. You can find that out on Page 3 of the datasheet under "Peripheral Features". My 18F458 supports I2C, 3W SPI, addressable USART, 4 timers, 3 interrupts, A/D, CAN but not USB.

I don think he mean that allen.

The title is referring SKXBee, I think he is referring to can the SKXBee USB be connected to 18F.

No... PIC18F only offer USB peripheral, not USB host.

And now I get you confuse, correct? Please refer to the thread here: http://forum.cytron.com.my/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=10623

So you cannot connect the USB of SKXBee to PIC18F USB'pin. You can actually try develop software UART or get yourself a PIC18F with 2 UART. :mrgreen:
