bjt transistor ksp 2222A as a not gate switch

Postby babemomo » Sat Mar 19, 2011 4:09 pm

Hi.
i got a problem here may i know how to use the transistor as a not gate switch.
currently i want use the bjt transistor as a not gate at the pin 17 of pt2272 to activate the speaker.
i am using the the ksp 2222A as the transistor and i connect the base to with a 10k resistor to the pin 17.
while at the collector i connect the Vcc 5V to the 1k resistor to the collector and connect to the speaker.
while on the emitter part i connect it to the ground....
anybody please give a advise..thank you....

You need signal HIGH to activate speaker/buzzer or signal LOW to activate?
If HIGH to activate buzzer, can use NPN transistor. If LOW, use PNP transistor or multi-stage NPN transistor.

ok..thanks man..during low that time the buzzer will sound..that mean i need a pnp transistor or multi-stage npn transistor instead of normal npn transistor...
