Monitoring parking lot availability via ZigBee and GSM

Postby yeech » Tue Oct 02, 2012 1:33 pm

Hello,

I need some guidance and basic info.
I would like to use zigbee module on parking space detection and using GSM module to receive the signal.
Can I request for recommendation on the zigbee, others module and components that I will need?

For this, I may need need a zigbee module, a parking board with sensor and a GSM module to tranceive data.
So, in your opinion, what kind of cytron product that will recommended here?

Please provide me with some link and file that related.

Thank you so much.

You can use
XBee product
GSM product
The related document have at their sale page.

You need experience on using UART. Using 2 UART device in 1 PIC is tough (I don't know the spelling, even I google translate didn't find the phrase :D ) because normal PIC only have 1 UART. But, to solve I always use multiplexer and demultiplexer 74HC4052.

Is it the GSM development board need to be in 3G coverage area only it works?
I am trying to run a testing program on GSM but it is not working.
My doubt is not sure whether is my SIM card problem or other problem.
Any SIM card will do right?

Thanks if anyone can solve my doubt.
