SKGPS-53

HI,
i would like to request some help.
why i had connected my GPS with my laptop, and i had tried it using Hyperterminal and MIniGPS why i cant c any output...

How you connect GPS to laptop? Use USB-to-UART?

ya..i connect to usb to usart converter den go into the computer..
i had connect to com3 and i had set according to the tutorial.. but i stil does not get any output..can you gv me some guide? thanks a lot

Check
1) did you choose right comport?
2) did you connect right TX and RX? Try-and-error interchange this.

I done this long time ago. Now, I directly connect to MCU. Ex using PIC and ChipKIT.

Agreed with shahrul, if possible show us the connection and setting in HyperTerminal. I do not have the GPS kit, but it should standard UART communication only.

i had double confirm that i had connect to right com port. i will snap the connection and upload it... it just simple connection rite... gt any others possibility o not

Just briefly went through the User's Manual, notice there is a LED to indicate the transmit activity of GPS. Does the LED blink?

i set the baud rate as 9600bps.
yes, the LED is blinking countinuosly.
n i had try all the software..stil the same. there is no output.. i wish to get help from u...
