Will it because of capital Z instead of z? Just a guess

from the cytron user manual guild, they are using UART to RS232 converter connected between laptop and GSM but for me, i using USB to serial converter connected between of them. what is the different between of this two device? is it the error occur because by different type of communication cable? thank you. on the other simple way, connect them between computer desktop and gsm, this i never try it out. may be able sending sms.

UART to RS232 converter and USB to serial converter should be the same.

i can making call !!! but cant send sms. am i wrote a wrong AT commend? AT+CSCA=+601xxxxxxxx <my phone number> then AT+CMGS=01xxxxxxxx <target num>. i already ensure the jumper connecting T0 and T1, and GSM is successfully connected the sim card. even i had try to press small letter of 'z', it still error. Then at the hyperterminal setting baud rate=9600, 8 bit, none parity, none flow control, one stop bit. i totally following the instruction provided by cytron, i had no way to solve this problem. is this product got some problem? i just purchase this last 4 days only.

dear zhenning, actually i refering this AT commend that you post. what is 0x1A? i think this is equal to (ctrl+z) and normally 0x1A is use in microcontroller C programming to reprenseted as (ctrl+z). am i right? by the way, thank a lot give me a helping hand. but i still cant solve this problem until now T_T so sad.
