hi... i just buy this tc35 siemens gsm module.... i encounter some problem when using the AT commands... btw, i using hyperterminal, arduino uno and flash magic to try enter the AT command..... the baud rate is 19200 not 9600 as from the tutorial... the problem is, when the 'at' is entered, i dont get the feedback 'ok' from the gsm module.... but when i call from my phone to the gsm simcard, i got 'RING" feedback from the gsm...

the connection i use to connect the gsm module to the pc is 'siemens tc35' > 'rs232a' > 'uc00a' > pc.... (as from cytron product code)...
pls assist me....

The baud rate is 9600 as i saw from the User Manual. Why you used 19200? You have changed the GSM setting? I dont see any command to change the baud rate in the User Manual.

I would check the hardware setup first.

Can you share some pictures on the hardware setup? So we can see the connection better.

Seem to be right, so have you try to send the "AT" using 19200 baud? Did you press "enter" after the "AT"?

SOLVED.... i manage solved these problem with my friends....

the problem is the UC00A(right btm).... i solved the problem by swap with the UC00B(left btm) from my friend....
i also try the UC00A to my friend's laptop (Windows 8), also got problem with the hyperterminal.... maybe i try to refund the item UC00A (if can) or getting check/repair by the cytron's staff...

i also manage to get the AT commands properly now with baud rate 9600 as from the tutorial....
this is example to answering phone call from gsm module.....

i also use this cable to try the gsm module and the hyperterminal... and it works...

i wanna ask, is this risky to use direct usb to serial converter cable directly with the gsm module?....
and if can, i wanna swap UC00A with this product (WR-USB-SERIAL)?....

Good, at least we know what is the problem.

You can try to contact Cytron technical team, I am not their staff and cannot speak for them. Fill in the form under their website support tab. The technical team will follow up with you.
