BlueBee 4.0 distance estimation

How do i estimate the distance between 2 Bluebee 4.0 module?
Time of Different Arrival method is it possible ? because RSSI is fluctuating from time to time .

Hi. For distance estimation, I just use RSSI. I do experiment and tabulate the data. Data of the distance and its RSSI Value. Then from the tabulated data, I plot the graph and get the equation from the graph(distance vs RSSI). As the signal is fluctuating, i will do average for the received data. I'm doing it for distance estimation using xbee. but the idea is like that. Just note that it will not get the accurate distance. Just the suggestion.

I believe the RSSI (Receive Signal Strength Index) is to indicate signal strength, in many cases, the signal strength does not represent distance, else it will name it as distance index, right?
But that is best signal that may provide you the idea of distance between devices.
