RFID reader

Hi. I want to ask, when i connect the RFID reader to the PC, and do as the manual said, open hyperterminal,and tag the RFID tag, a green light will appear along with 'beep' sound. But, when i look in the hyperterminal, there is no ID number appear on the screen. just blank . Why? can anyone help me out for this one?thanks a lot.

what type of RFID reader u used,PR8 (IDR-232) or PR25 reader???

feeza_nur, which RIFD ready you use? I assume you are using the RFID with the code: RFID-IDR-232. Have you connect the PS2 connection at the back of computer to supply power to the RFID reader? The RFID reader require PS2 connection for power besides the DB9 (serial port).

Besides opening the HyperTerminal, you need to configure the RS232 setting such as baudrate to 9600 and correct COM port. Is there are sound and LED indication when you swipe the RFID card over the reader?
