hyng WROTE:
I have just tried to supply input voltage less than 6V to PR23, and the result is quite similar to yours. The buzzer will be ON for a while when the robot is switched ON which is normal but the LCD show nothing. So i am assuming that the root cause is from the input voltage if referring to the photo you have attached.
The input voltage must be at least 7V for the regulator to generate 5V but remember that motor power should not more than 6V. I guess you need to try increasing the input voltage.

Thank you very much for your help & sorry for my mistake wrongly swap the battery...my robot is work properly now. Thanks for all of you again!

Hi, i just finished setting all the construction of the PR23 DIY project, but it seems like function weirdly.
at the first time i turned on the switch, it worked properly.
however, after i pressed the reset button and switched on again the power supply, the LCD keep on blinking and appearing the blank row, the buzzer produced very tiny and intermittent sound. this made me cant proceed the next step no matter how i pressed the SW1, SW2 and reset button. Can somebody help me to solve it?

what's your power supply? Is the motor running when it's mulfunction?

Seem to be the board keep resetting itself, what is the power source you are using? battery? adapter? What is the output current of your power source?

Try using an adapter with 12V and 1A and let us know the result. Ordinary 9V battery is not sufficient.

i have tried the adapter that bought from your website which is adapter teletron TMC-500PM but it still the same. and i also tried to program the code onto the another microcontroller, still it cant solved the problem. but i haven't try the adapter 12V 1A, is there any difference between the teletron TMC-500PM. is it grounding or clock problem? thanks

kl84. When i switched on the power supply, the motor didnt function at all. LCD screen at first indicated some correct words, after that the whole screen was filled by the 'boxes'. no matter how i press the switch button, it wont respond.

Just a quick check, can you look at the value on capacitor near to Crystal underneath the PIC? it should be C5 and C6. What is the value? If possible can you capture a picture to share with us? The photo of whole robot is good.

Usually diy projects either from cytron or self-constructed, are quite difficult for others to troubleshoot, especially when we cant check the board... the problem may involve many factors. Anyway, do update us your latest findings.

i checked these two capacitors on board only. i have got quite weird value.
for
C5 : 170pf ( when i tune capacitance meter to 200pf range ), reversed polarity i get 1 ( too small)
1200pf (when i tune to 2000pf range), reversed polarity i get 1
C6 : 190pf (when i tune to 200pf range), reversed polarity i get 1
1400pf (when i tune to 2000pf range), reversed polarity i get 1
or can teach me how to on board measure the capacitor correctly? thanks

i have uploaded the video of the robot's operation.
