PR20 Standalone Control and Monitoring.

Postby nahmad7245 » Sat Mar 31, 2012 2:22 pm

Hi,

I have just assembled PR20 board and downloaded X-CTU, USB Serial Converter Driver. Right now i'm facing below problems:

1. 1st board no respond at all when connected to UC00A. Led for 3.3V and xbee do not turn on.
2. 2nd board 3.3V and xbee Led turn on but turned off while communicating with UC00A and X CTU.

My X-CTU and device driver are working since i am able to communicate with my other SKXBee module.

What is the possible rootcause? short circuit? xbee failure?

Hope some one can share their experince.

thanks,
regards.

Hi,
I'm able to connect to the pc via uc00a. My mistake was not power up the board, actually the 5V usb willl not power up the board.

Next when testing with X-CTU, intermittently recognized the correct device; xb24, sometimes triggered weird device name.
I was able to configured the xbee, but they were not functioning as desired.

regards.

Confused with your explanation. I don have this DIY kit from Cytron, is quite expensive

But is very interesting because it can do standalone control and monitor.

I am confused on the outcome you expect. When it become standalone, it should not involve any message right? Because the Xbee should be standalone, not connected to any microcontroller or host. I thought the UC00A is connected to the board for configuration only.

Hi. i have problem with pr20. I already solder the component and I want to test the circuit. So i used X-CTU software and then i got this message "unable to communicate with modem. Verify com port selection then perform action below or Cancel"
So how to counter this problem?

Have you choose the correct COM port? Baud rate? How about the connection? Hardware?
