Program ESP 01 using Maker Pi Pico

I would like to understand the possibility of programming/Flashing an ESP-01 module connected to the MakerPi Pico board.



I have seen the Blink tutorial with Pico, but it just forwards the serial AT commands.
Is there a full-fledged flashing option for the ESP-01 possible using the MakerPi Pico board?

If available, it would make things easier for the makers to program the ESP-01 with the Maker Pi board itself and aiding network connection to the Pico module.
