DIY PR-11 - Not working

I need help on PR-11. I have made the circuit board, it is tested and it is ok. Then I installed the Mplab 8.30 with Hitech. I compile the files PR-11.c in Mplab and Mplab generated a Hex file. Then I compiled the hex file in a PIC burner using ICProg and it is working well. the problem is when I put the PIC on the circuit board, It doesn't work and LCD show up small black blocks.....

I double-check the circuit and all things, but It is still have the same problem.

Tiago, seem to me that there is 2 possible factors.
1. the Crystal is not working thus the PIC is not running.
2. The connection from PIC to LCD is not good.

Can you verify whether the crystal is running or not by writing a simple LED blinking?

Do check the connection from PIC pin to LCD pin, refer to the schematic given.
