Hmmm... Can you describe the symptoms clearly so people can help. :roll:

But I would first make sure the +5 and Gnd are OK for a start. ;)

Did you buy the SK40C during the Crazy Sale 2 months ago? If YES, then you have to send it back to Cytron for repair cos they have recalled that batch of SK40C due to manufacturing faults. Unless you know how to unsolder the SMD 7805 regulator and able to get a SMD 7805 replacement.

You need to get yourself the SMD 7805 chip. It's between the USB port and PIC bracket.

Otherwise, you can bypass the voltage regulator by supplying your own 5V, by applying 5V(+ve) to VDD and ground(-ve) to GND. Remember to switch off the toggle switch on SK40C.

Hi, if this case is caused by the regulator failure on SK40C and you wish to troubleshoot it yourself, we can send you a new regulator SMD 7805 for you. Please send an email with description to support@cytron.com.my. Thanks.

I sent my SK40C back to Cytron, save my time :) Anyway I did repaired one myself :mrgreen:
