MBED - LPC1768 Development Board

help me if MBED - LPC1768 Development Board can be a medium to interface against server or Ethernet and with an output of lcd display showing that some cut-off electric been applied?
for an example the situation of the user will cut off the electric at home using MBED - LPC1768 Development Board as a medium to cut off electric at home. the output are using pic micro controller to cut off the electric

that is possible.

You have to know which LCD to use, parallel or serial? Most common is 2x16 LCD, parallel interface. Using either 6 pins or 10 pins. I am sure mbed have sufficient pin for that even after minus out the pin for Ethernet.

thnx 4 the info.. really appreciate that.. but how about mbed with micro controller.. the microcontroller will cut off electricity at home or turn on the electricity... we're using Ethernet as input... did it possible.?
