Is microcontroller needed?

Postby lilluda » Sat Dec 07, 2013 7:50 pm

Hello guys,

Is it possible to make a closed loop control to measure the speed of a DC motor without using a microcontroller?

If you are using encoder, how can you read the pulses or pattern from encoder? Without using microcontroller, maybe you want to try FPGA?

I think the easiest way will still be using microcontroller. 8-)
