Anyone wants to offer assistance to vick5821 in person, if he/she lives nearby? I'm sure this problem can be solved. Just need some time for that.

I sincerely think even Cytron gives you an original PICkit2, you may not be able to use it either... Please have a look at this document by Microchip. I still think it has to do with your side. Please don't be offended. I'm not saying you misused UIC00B, it might be sth related to driver problem in your laptop/OS (don't you think Windows can be faulty sometimes?). Try follow Microchip's way to uninstall the malfunction driver and reinstall it correctly. However, I cant explain why the old UIC works :?

Another reason i can think of is the USB cable... but I think you must have tested the malfunction UIC with several USB cables right? Don't you? :P

This is my doubt too and why I didn't suspect his laptop OS. But there's no harm to try to do what microchip recommended in the pdf.

Again, in my previous post, I suspect it's the drivers. He/she can actually uninstall and reinstall it without much problems.

Anyway, it's good that you have solved your problem after 6 pages of discussion in this forum ;) And you can get back to your coding now!

Don't worry, we all make mistakes like that once in a while. No one's perfect.

Few months back I thought my external HDD was busted and I thought of disposing it... then I thought of the cable.

I saved RM300 in this process.

Woh.... Sorry I miss-out the hot discussion :)

Hey, I totally agreed with Allen 8-)

Anyway, USB cable should be one of the early suspected item to debug too. I have several cases where 1 cable can work on laptop A, but cannot use on laptop B. The weird part is another cable have the opposite usage 8-) !

So now, if something does not with the USB connection, most likely I will change the USB cable first!

Hey guys , finally the problem solved. It was regarding the USB CABLE used.

Sorry for making this so troublesome to you all.

I am just the beginner in this electronics world.Hope to learn more.

From here, I can see that Cytron company serve their customers very very well and this is what I can conclude with.

Thank you everyone and sorry if I make or write something wrong :)
