Hello Cytroners ;
I'm asking for AN809 , AN811 and IR2159 or any project that's related to DALI(Digital Addressable Lighting Interface)..

Brother, what is AN809 and other code? You are looking for IC or document?

Digitally Addressable DALI Dimming Ballast. It's a tool used in dimming lighting systems , PIC16F628 together with IR2159 HVIC Ballast Controller..

Please be specific 8-) We do not know what you mean by just putting the code and number.

You should look at the document, it should pointed you to get the kit.

yup, that's exactly what I want, the kit. That kit is AN809..

If you opened the doc, you should've seen it.. I wonder where it is available

Dimming flourescence lamps had always been a problem in electronics. Ordinary lighting system using filament light bulbs and LEDs can easily be dimmed using the PWM techniques. The article you mentioned was written in 2002 and the kits must be out of date and are no more available to the public unless you want to construct the circuit yourself. The 2 important chips L6561D by ST and IR21592 by IR are available from Farnell each costing RM 4.69 and 17.28 respextively. You can get the 16F628 from Cytron.

http://my.element14.com/jsp/search/brow ... allpartial

The problem in constructing the circuit is where to get the 3 inductors L1, L2 and L3. The 5V supply for the 16F628 was taken from the mains, rectified and just dropped by a resistor , stabilized with a capacitor and a zener.

If I were you I would take down a few faulty energy saving lamps and savage its parts or buy a few regular electronic ballast from supermarket (they are quite cheap 'bout RM 12.00 or lower each) and use whatever is useful to construct the DALI circuit.

Instead of using AC, would it be easier to use a 5VDC or 12VDC rail from a cheap PC power supply, to run a series of LEDs? What do you guys think?
