For those who might be interested using 3310 on option #3. Here is how I'd interface to the keypad

File1-k3310_p1.jpg
connect control lines directly to RCx and RDx

If you dont have 16 ports on the 16F877a to spare, just use RC0-RC3 from the PIC.

The 4066 is activated by High so 74HC238 is used instead.

First of all,thanks everyone for the helps and advises.
Out of sudden, my due date had been postponed to next week. >.<
Finally, i found the Nokia 3310 and its specific cable. :)

Specific cable for Nokia 3310

Below is my circuit diagram From PIC- Max232-RS232 Male.

I just want to ask: For the connection of RS232 male,i just need to solder Pin 2,3,4?
RS232 Max232
Pin 2 -------------------->Pin 13 (R1in)
Pin 3 -------------------->Pin 14 (T1out)
Pin 4 --------------------> Pin 7 (T2out)
And can anyone share me(links etc) the programming for PIC16f877a to Nokia 3310. I cant find it online.
Thanks.

Pin 4 of DB9 goes to T2out, but your T2in goes to nowhere. You need pin 5 to be connected to GND too.

Refer here for the connections

Looks like you'll be going the FBUS route cause I dont find anything about MBUS thought it is also supported by 3310. It didnt mention anything about AT command so I gues it is not suported too.

Can't help you on the programming of your 3310 cos I've never done it before. Refer back to the earlier posts and read them carefully again to get more clues or google for "3310 SMS sending" or something like that. There should be plenty on the net. Good luck to your project.... cheers ;) ;) 8-)

1) i am trying to do Fbus programming now.Wish me luck on this..

2) Meanwhile, i am doing interfacing from PIC to PC as backup plan 1 in case my Fbus programming fail..Wish me luck too...

3) I am going to try PIC- SE T630 which using AT commands as a back up plan 2.Anyone has experience in this before? need to solder the charger part of the phone in order to connect to MAX 232 or using DRS-11 right ?any others method to connect T630 to PIC?

You're much stronger and more knowledgeable than I thought at first. I am sure you can complete it successfully. As for the SE T630 phone and DCU-11 cable informations, I'll need more time to search for them. I'll post it here if I find anything useful for your project.

Cheers!!

BACK up plan 1 succeeded!I am able to display "Help" on hyperterminal when sensor is triggered.
Back up Plan 2 (PC- Phone) working, but due to no DRS -11 cable, no idea whether the code for PIC-HP is working or not!

Fbus programminng?? better dont ask me!
