Anyone can tell me what is schmitt trigger..?And how to use it to clean signal(pulse)..?

hi fiqriizwanshah,
Schmitt Trigger is the basic circuit for the op-amp and comparator.......the basic operation is to produce hi or lo output appropriate with the comparison of the two input in their magnitud....there a lot of ways that we can apply to produce clean pulse .... depend on ur specific application....the most popular comparator for simple application is UA741 ..... have fun...!

The net has very simple explanation of schmitt trigger and it is fundermental knowledge to electronics. You can construct them from transistors, 555, op-amp like 741 or comparactor like LM393 or LM339. Take a look at the links here:

I heard that has some specific IC that already build in with schmitt trigger..It is true..?What code of the iC..tQ.. :)

Without referring to my databook, I can only think of CD4093 (2-input NAND) and 74HC14 (hex inverters).
