PIC32MZ

Postby Brian Griffin » Fri Jan 11, 2013 5:04 pm

I've been hearing about Microchip's plans to have a new line of PIC32s with an M14K core some years ago, and it could be probably PIC32MZ, as I've seen in the datasheet's future product list.http://ww1.microchip.com/downloads/en/DeviceDoc/61145L.pdf, page 11-12.

It is probably a new M14K core, and compared to the M4K ones we have on the SKPIC32 (PIC32MX795F512), this one contains more features. :)
PIC - UIC00B from Cytron (replacement for my broken PICKit 2), Pickit 3, MikroC for PIC
dsPIC - MikroC for dsPIC, mikromedia board (dsPIC33)
AVR - AVR Dragon
Parallax - Prop tool

I can't find much info on the M14K, however, what I could guess is there will be bigger quantities of flash and RAM inside, and probably more supporting peripherals. :)
