hello,i have recently purcased CYTRON gps starter kit and following the tutorial given..instead im using pic16f887..i try to modify the codes given for pic16f628 and compile...its imposible..can anyone guide me on this... :(

So what have you done? We cannot modify the complete code for you.

You try to follow exactly the tutorial, don't change the PIC. Make it works and get familiar with GPS function first. After you get it, then you can change to any PIC you want.

HI, i want to try pic to pic communication...which by interface of gps done via pic16f628 and transfer it to pic16f887...is thr any tutorial u want to suggest...:)

There is no exact tutorial showing all the interface or system. You will need to learn and understand part by part and integrate it. That is learning.

It depends on your requirement, 628 can receive GPS using UART's RX pin and after process send it out through UART' TX pin to 887 UART's RX pin.

1st try to interface the GPS with computer and understand what is the data, then interface with 628 and develop program for it. ..... step by step.
