Water level detection system using PIC

Postby ccf1_KC » Mon Nov 30, 2015 4:22 pm

Hello Everyone :D ,

I'm quite new to Microcontroller  , currently I have a project to build testing model using hardware and software,
on water level detection system.
Basically the hardware maybe consists of PIC18, TX/RX, water level sensor, Buzzer, etc.

The project overview would be like this:
- First, it should has a level sensor which will detect the water level, and it will generate a signal to control by the PIC microcontroller. The information data will be transfer from appropriate transmitter and receiver. The PIC microcontroller will then process the data signal and produce outputs as programmed.

- if the sensor did not sense any water, the LED indicator in Technician Room will always remain “GREEN” colour which means normal.
- If the sensor sense water at Level 1, the LED indicator will change to “YELLOW” colour which means minor alarm is detected.
- if the sensor sense water at Level 2, the LED indicator will change to “RED” which means major alarm is detected. At this time, audible buzzer alarm will also triggered.

I appreciate assistance from this forum so that I can consider suitable items to use and the circuit design.

Thank you very much :P

Regards,
Mary

Hi Mary, I'm not really sure about your "TX/RX". Could you explain more detail?
For water level sensor, maybe you can consider to use Liquid Level Sensor.

Thanks.

Hi Idris,

Thanks for your reply.
For the Transceiver, can I use RF Transceiver Module, nRF24L01+ on my PIC16?
How is the connection and how about the coding?

If you check the product page of nRF24L01+, there is tutorial link showing example of interface with PIC16F876A, so I guess that answer your question.

Please try the interface and program yourself, there is a lot more to learn. You need to try in order to understand the concept.

Dear Kkaalan,

Thanks in advance for your kindness.
Do u mind to share something about the project that you have done?
Maybe we can communicate through email?
