Did you change the jumper for (XBEE/USB) jumper to XBEE while trying to communicate ?

Hi, is your PC detect the comport? Do you choose the right comport?
Are you using SKXBee-Pro or just the XBee-Pro module? Please bear in mind that the XBee must in 3.3V voltage level, else the module might spoilt.

Hi,
thanks for the reply,
i believe the com port is correct as well as the usb/xbee jumper.
i'm using xbee pro with xbee shield and arduino board(with the ic removed).. only after several retries, i manage to establish the connection. but sometimes i cannot communicate at all..

Can you clarify this? Why do you need an Arduino board with the IC removed? Loose connection should be the root cause.
