Hi..actually u can use the arduino itself to burn the bootloader..
u can use your friend's arduino board (with bootloader) and program your board (without bootloader)

as a new user to arduino,which board is suitable and compatible for me as a beginner?

the uno/duemilanove is suitable if less pins are needed. If you want more, go for the Mega 2560.
