arduino board

hello.
i'm new here and also new to arduino.
my final year project are related to arduino.
as a new user to arduino,which board is suitable and compatible for me as a beginner?

take up the cytron arduino course which is going to be held in UiTM in 17th Dec 2011 =)

And very affordable too. You'll bring back a arduino duemil with the LCD shield + lunch if you pay package#2. The total costs less than if you buy direct from cytron.

Yup. I plan to go too but cant find transport to go :(

I'd like to attend too. ;) But because of school holidays, all the flights to KL are very expensive now even by Air Asia. Besides, what is the cost of Taxi from LCCT to Shah Alam and what is the cheapest hotel in Shah Alam for one night? :roll:

I live at Shah Alam. I'm also beginner in arduino.
The language is easy, can learn ourself. :D

yup. if you know PIC, you should be well verse in Arduino ^_^

yup. if you know PIC, you should be well verse in Arduino ^_^

True, as we know C Language, we can adapt that on any platform microcontroller, just maybe some syntax different.

I don think is due to bootloader. It seem your computer does not detect the USB to UART chip on Arduino board at all. Are you sure it is plug in?
