Can't program my Arduino

Hello,

Fyi i have using arduino for 5 months .. and before this there are no problems to upload program to my arduino .. but this night i cant upload program to my arduino because the seriel port doesnt exist .. at the device manager either .. is it the USB damage? how can i overcome this problem?

what version of arduino you are using? Maybe the bootloader corrupted?

I'm using Arduino Uno .. so how can i solve this problem ?

Oh.... Uno, in that case, I am not that familiar, though I actually not familiar with Arduino

Anyway, if Uno, and the device is not recognize, I think the 8U2's firmware is corrupted.

does your arduino uno LED ON light up? if light up, it means your ATMEGA 328 still ok. but, if not. you have fried your ATmega i think..
