Are the programming code of arduino LCD and GLCD same???
Any differences between Arduino LCD and Normal LCD???
I am using arduino mega 2560 and PIC start-up kit......
Can someone recommend me whether to buy a LCD or GLCD that are compatible for both main board??? Which brand?

LCD and GLCD is not same. It's follow what the controller inside that.
Ex LCD use HD44780 and GLCD have many type ex KS0108 or PCD8544.

Then, if you changing PIC to arduino, the signal to interface LCD is same, only different the function develop by the user.

Thx.....then the arduino LCD shield is same programming with the LCD HD44780??? coz LCD HD44780 need shouldering in breadboard, so I found from website that arduino LCD shield dun need shouldering in the breadboard....this shield is more convenient

That is the purpose of Arduino shield. You save the time and trouble to solder.
