Arduino with Xbee Wifi Module Configuration

Postby rkosharil » Sat Apr 27, 2013 10:52 pm

Hi,

I'll list my problem to make more easier understanding:

1. I have an arduino uno + Xbee wifi Shield + Xbee Wifi S6 Module
2. I tried to configure it with X-CTU Software and the software detect it
3. Then I scan for network in modem configuration. When I tried to connect to my network, this came out "Timeout Waiting to connect to selected access point".

What should I do?
Do I need to code something in the arduino?
It just won't connect.

If you check the XBee-WiFi Development Kit Getting Started Guide, page 13:Warning: The XBee Wi‐Fi module will not connect to access points or routers that use WEP or Enterprise security. The access point or router needs to be configured for DHCP
for the purposes of this guide.

Just another question. Can I communicate with XBee WiFi without a router. Why do I need a router to communicate with xbee?

Why don you try it?

Why need some one to tell you that? Try it and see. Search the Internet.

What the point you asking before doing? All people have their work and time. You do your work first, if problem then asking. Also, people answer if people have experience doing same thing. Not everybody doing same project.
