Bluetooth Shield

Postby FaiZamri » Mon Nov 11, 2013 10:06 pm

Hello..
I want to attach bluetooth module to Arduino Leonardo. I use Cytron Bluetooth Modulle - BLUEBEE (http://www.cytron.com.my/viewProduct.php?pcode=BLUEBEE&name=Cytron%20Bluetooth%20Module). So, does I need the shield to attach it to the arduino? May I use shield like XBee Starter Kit without module-SKXBEE-BOARD (http://www.cytron.com.my/viewProduct.php?pcode=SKXBEE-BOARD) or another shield. And why need that shield?

Yes, if you do not know how to interface, the Bluebee is 3.3V while Arduino is 5V. You need proper 3.3V voltage regulator and level shifter to interface.

No, if you have the SKXBee, which I am also using it for my Arduino, you can just simple connect the Arduino to it using jumper wires.
