RE: Vibration/Knock Detection. Need Help!

Postby CuRain » Mon Jul 28, 2014 8:14 pm

I know there's the knock example code in the Arduino. However, when I connect the vibration sensor to it and run the code, I either always get knock reply (when change nothing of the code) or get now reply (when changing the threshold value or the variable to store the value read from the sensor pin). I didn't even knock the table as I just put it there and knock is detected. When I change the threshold value, no matter how hard I shake it, it won't get any knock reply.
Currently using the following sensor: http://www.dx.com/p/high-sensitivity-al ... 9Ysb-OSz9w
Can anyone help me pls? Thank you!

Not really how the circuit works as we do not carry that module. Anyway, looking at the vibration sensor on the module, it seem to be similar with the vibration sensor switch: http://www.cytron.com.my/viewProduct.php?pcode=SN-VBR-18010P&name=Vibration%20Sensor%20Switch%20(High%20Sensitive). It act like a normal push button, but the connection between terminal is shorted when there is vibration, not push.

I don think the adjustment of on board potentiometer change the sensitivity.
