SIM900 Quad-band GSM GPRS Shield + RFBee Shield + Arduino

Postby Oshin » Wed Apr 29, 2015 3:38 am

Hi all,

Can RFBee shield works together with SIM900 GSM Shield in one time?
I've tried to shield both together. But the GSM cannot register to the network.
Hope someone can help me.

Thank you

How do you combine both the shield? mind showing us the hardware? A few clear photos will help a lot.

Try to make those shields work alone first. The GSM does not need the RFBee to detect the GSM network, so it should work without the RFBee.

I dont know how to upload the picture. But i just shield all them together. Starting with arduino, then GSM shield, lastly RFBee shield at the top. My project is to send an SMS after analyzing the data received at RFBee (master).

I've tried those shield work alone and it works. But, when i tried to combine them, the GSM shield cannot register to its network even i have power it on.

The serial monitor will show this:

GSM Shield testing.

If the XBee shield and GSM shield is using the same UART pin, there will be interference. That is the reason you need to show the actual hardware photo, each shield, clearly.
