EZMP3 "pop" at the start of each track via Speakers

Postby redman » Thu Dec 27, 2018 10:39 pm

Hi,
I have an EZMP3 stacked on a USB host and a mega 2560.
Every time i play a track it emits a loud "pop" on the speaker before starting.
Doesn't matter if its triggered from the arduino, or from the hardware buttons on the board.
All track bitrates are < 108, and I have tried WAV files as well , but the same result.
I have tried power via USB from PC, and direct to the mega via 12v.
Headphones don't have this issue, so its only with the speaker connected.
Speakers are Sony 8ohm, 120watts.
I have tried switching speaker +ve and -ve in case that had something to do with it, but no change.

Any ideas?

Thanks
Chris

Hi Chris,

What is the file format for the audio you are using? Maybe change to MP3?

There is a thread here that have similar problem but changing the file format to MP3 solve the problem.

Hi Ober,
I have tried MP3 and WAV files.
I have tried converting all the MP3 to the same bitrate (128).
All still have the same issue.

Thanks
Chris
