Fetch UDP time? Arduino Uno + Cytron ESP-WIFI Rev 2.0

Hi,

I just got your wifi shield for my Arduino Uno and I have successfully started it, connected it to tmy wifi network and tested the server, which works.

However, I'm trying to implement a time server check to get the time for a 5-sensor temperature monitoring project, but I when compile it set to Arduino Uno board, it seems to hang at the udp.begin(2390) command.
CODE: SELECT_ALL_CODE
22:33:34.657 -> AT version:1.4.0.0(May  5 2017 16:10:59)
22:33:34.657 -> SDK version:2.1.0(116b762)
22:33:34.657 -> compile time:Oct 30 2017 10:11:53
22:33:34.657 -> Mode: 1
22:33:34.691 -> Setup wifi config
22:33:34.759 -> Start wifi connection
22:33:37.792 -> Connected to Things
22:33:37.859 -> IP address:
22:33:38.028 -> 192.168.1.80
22:33:40.916 -> Starting UDP...

Then, nothing.

I've tried selecting the ESP32 Dev Board, but it won't compile, saying that I don't have SoftwareSerial.h.

Can you help me to understand which libraries I should be using and where I can find all the objects and classes available for the wifi shield? I'm new at this and the documents on this page https://sg.cytron.io/p-cytron-esp8266-wifi-shield?r=1 aren't telling me what I need to know.

Thanks very much in advance for your help.

Regards, Justin

Hi, maybe you can try this library: https://github.com/bportaluri/WiFiEsp

reference from this : https://forum.arduino.cc/index.php?topic=556268.0
