Cytron MD10 vs MDD10

Postby MBrown278 » Mon Aug 22, 2022 11:50 pm

Hi all, apologies in advance, I'm relatively new to this which brings me to this post.

I created a project with an Arduino Uno Rev 3, and the Arduino Motor Shield Rev 3. It has power limits which has led me to be recommended the Cytron MDD10 for my project (running two fans). I stupidly without realising purchased the MD10 (which has terminals for only one motor), thinking it was the MDD10 and was what I needed.

Will there be any issue with me connecting both fans into the MD10 motor terminals? The fans pull 1.4amps each, so together are still well below the MD10's limits.

The full project is to create a wind simulator for sim racing. I have got the wind sim working, albeit with slightly reduced power so far to the fans due to the arduino motor shields limits.

Thanks,

Mark
