Need help with L293D!!!

Hello.

I'm currently building a RC robot using PT2262 and PT2272-M4. I'm having trouble with controlling the DC motor using L293D. The motor keeps turning on and off while I connect the input pins on L293D to PT2272-M4 data pins. The supply voltage for L293D is 9V and I'm using 5V for the enable pins on L293D. I followed everything as stated in the schematics. Can anyone tell me what's the problem causing it?

The schematic:

p/s: I've changed the HT648 into PT2272-M4

My advise is to replace the L293D with LED first. If the LED is working, then only replace with L293D.

Also check the voltage from 9V battery, it drain-out easily, without stable voltage, you get unstable system.

the led works, but when I changed the led into L293D, the current becomes unstable. I tried replacing the 9V battery with a new one, same problem still occurs. Speaking of battery, is 9V battery suitable for this kind of circuit? or do I have to get a LiPo battery or lead acid battery?

During development, I always use adapter. Normal 9V battery cannot discharge fast enough and the voltage drop easily.

Ok. Will do some modifications and see how does it turns out.

The problem is solved. I've changed into a smaller drive motor. It seems like I was using the wrong motor, causing the circuit fail driving the motor effieciently during the test run. Now, I'm using 2 3V DC motor and everything turns out to be perfectly fine. Besides, the power source is a 9.6V 3000mAh NiCd battery.
