Using comport in excel
Posted: Fri Sep 16, 2016 9:40 amPreviously when I'm using windows XP and excel 2003 there is no problem to insert [Microsoft communication control 6.0] into excel that allow me to use the comport.
To have Microsoft communication control 6.0 inside excel developer tool box you need copy MSCOMM32.OCX file inside system 32 folder for 32bits system, syswow64 folder for 64bits system. Register it in cmd with administrator access mode.
Then you can use the microsoft communication control inside excel.
But the problem now is since use windows 7 and excel 2010. there is problem to insert the Microsoft communication control 6.0.
Error msg as "cannot insert object" appear.
Anyone can help on this?
