Use with browser

I usually use the Maker UNO with the Arduino IDE on a Windows system. But when I wanted to convince some friends of the benefits of the Maker UNO, I saw that for supported platforms besides Mac, Windows and Linux, also "browser" was mentioned. I did not yet find any details what exactly that means. Can someone explain what that is?

Yes, you can try Arduino Create: https://create.arduino.cc/, it is an online based IDE.
