SmartDriveDuo 10A to 6 channels RC controller

Postby rio4448 » Fri Jul 07, 2017 10:13 pm

I am planning to build a 4-wheeled rover with your SmartDriveDuo-10A and controlled by a 6 channels RC controller (Mode 2).
My questions are;
1. is my project possible?
I am planning to connect 2 motors in parallel to each side of motor driver.
2. which channel of my receiver should I connect the RC1 and RC2 of your MDDS-10A?

I have tried to set up as above, but the output to the motor left and right are not at the same speed because the output voltage of right and left channels is different by half.
Why? How to Correct it?

Hi rio4448,

1. Yes it is possible.
2. You need to determine which channel on your RC transmitter to act as speed and steering. Then connect to RC1 (steering: left-right) and RC2 (speed: forward-reverse) corresponding. Please make sure both left and right motors is connected to correct channel. If you find that one of the motor moving in the wrong direction, swap the wire at the motor terminal.

Could you share a few clear photos and videos of your hardware setup? It will help a lot to verify the problem.

Thanks.
