line follower robot

I has a robot.
but the robot cannot be function.
when i put the robot on the line, it do not move.
I had check the motor and the sensor. it can be function.
but when i check at the voltage regulator to the IC, it just show 2.98V?
why?
how to solve this probelm?
can I just change the voltage regulator to give enough power to IC?

try to check power for PIC...it should be 5 v...if not,check where the volt missing...if it come from regulator,try change it...be sure the +ve not short to gnd...gud luck!

hahah how can i answer it?? :lol:
try using digital multimeter...-ve prob at ground and +ve prob at each componen at your board...like 3rd pin at regulator ic...if you using veraboard,it a bit hard to find..
maybe some connection broken..well,its your skill to find it :D

Maybe some components or circuit short the 5V pin, thats why the voltage drop. The 5V pin not exactly short, but it give low resistance. You must find the components that affect this. You can try take out some of that components.

First of all, do you make sure there is a program on that robot or not? if it has no program. how can it work?
I wonder what robot that do you have. ;)

Hi there, i guest this topic is a lil bit old, since its last reply was on 2009. Mind if I ask you guys on helping me out to this project of mine?

These are the item I've buy to do this project
1. Sk40-C1
2. USB ICSP UIC00B PIC Programmer
3. Auto-Calibrating Line Sensor
4. Tamiya Twin-Motor Gearbox
etc

I'm now stuck on doing the Sk40-C1 and USB ICSP UIC00B PIC programmer part, as I do not have any guide on what to do next. Could you guys lend me some help? Really appreciate it. :)

SK40C does not have User's Manual to show that? Why don try that User's Manual?

me have the same problem too.. check ur 9v battery and 6v battery with multimeter
because the battery is a fact too..
i replace the 9v and 6v with new battery... problem solve
