Hi,

I would like to know whether SD02B stepper motor driver can drive 5V stepper motor or not? :? However, i found out that in the user manual stated that it is able to drive stepper motor from 3V-40V. I have tried to connect 5V stepper motor with 5V input supply to SD02B at Vmotor pin and GND pin but the motor didn't move when i pressed the "test" switch (for few second). Any suggestion that I can solve this problem :?:

Where did you get the 5V from?

I supply 5V from voltage regulator.

Might not be enough current for the stepper, I do not sure, as I don have the stepper driver.

One more question, what will happen if the reset button is pressed during operation? Will it damage the driver? what can Ido?

Pressing the reset button will not damage the driver.
Did the power LED light ON? The mini jumper is at Vin or Vmotor? Some photos of the connections may help to verify the problem. BTW, if you only supply 5V to Vmotor, the circuit will not be powered up thus the driver is not working. You need to supply another voltage from 8V-20V to Vin for the circuit power supply. It is mentioned at page 7.

Now i tried to supply with 12V at Vin. The power LED is on. and the mini jumper is connected at Vin. The output LED still are not light on when the test button is pressed.
