Power Supply for SmartDrive40

Postby muhammadhafiz07 » Wed Sep 11, 2013 9:38 am

Hi, i am using 2 units of the smart drive in RC mix mode to control 2 24v dc brush motor.
I tried to supply both smart drive with a shared supply of 24v provided by a liPo battery but encounter Mosfet error (Led blink 6 times)
Does each smart drive require independent supply & cannot share from the same source?
Or i might have done this wrong, so i would like to share i really want to do..perhaps you offer some suggestion.

Actually i use a shared supply because i want to have ONE SWITCH that will turn ON both smart drive at the same time. Therefore, what i did is from the 24v supply, a switch is added before the supply is split to TWO and connected to each smart drive. Please advise on this matter. Thanks in advance.

What kind of switch did you use? Is it enough current to go through that switch?

Try with single supply and see.
