I already bought MD10C R3. I want to separate microcontroller and motor driver as a safety measures using optocoupler. Is it possible to use optocoupler for this type of motor driver.

Might not get what you need exactly, but it is using isolator and is meant for microcontroller and motor driver. Try it and let us know.
