Hi

I am looking for an alternative to a Sabertooth 2x25 for a project I am working on and have found the MDDS30 (Smartdriveduo30) which may meet the requirements.

The Arduino code currently written for the Sabertooth device uses serial packetized data in mixed mode format.

I realise that I will need to modify the Arduino code to use the MDDS30, but to keep the electrical connections the same I'd like to use mixed mode. Is this available for the MDDS30 in using serial communication?

MDDS30 is not available in mixed mode. You can find the documentation on MDDS30 Serial Packetize in the User's Manual section 8.4. There have link for Arduino sample code too.
