MDDS30 resolution and deadzone

1. I enquired to Cytro and was told the MDDS30 has +10% and -10% dead zone. By using serial control, would this be overcome?
2. What is the resolution of the output of the MDDS30? (0.5%, 1%, 10% etc ?)
3. Comparing PWM input and Serial input, which has better resolution?

1. Yes, serial mode will not have dead zone.

2. Different input mode will have different resolution. eg: Simplified serial = 6-bit, packetized serial = 7-bit, Analog/PWM (locked-antiphase) = 7-bit, Analog/PWM (sign-magnitude) = 8-bit.

3. PWM input in sign-magnitude mode has higher resolution.
