Programming PIC16F628A using Starter kit SK40C

Postby zayedson » Fri Jun 17, 2011 12:29 pm

How can I modify the SK40C Starter-Kit to be able to programme the PIC16F628A ?
I have the UIC00B programmer also.
I mean can i connect it to external breadboard and just connect the VCC, GND, and other necessary pins to the SK40C ?
I am asking this because i need it urgently without buying extra devices or converter.

You can do that, just connect the ICSP pin from SK40C to the PIC16F628A. You should be able to get those pin location from the datasheet.

If you want to program 18-pin PIC, you don need the SK40C. Since you have the UIC00B, you can create your own programmer board, just follow the interface of SK18B from Cytron, they provide the schematic.

All you need is the 5 pins from UIC00B.

What about using UIC-S?
