SK40C (16F877A) and PC through USBtoUART

What's the highest speed (baud rate) between 16F877A and PC (Visual Basic) through USB to UART converter? Is RS232 method is more faster?

it can go very fast, as explained here by aurora: http://forum.cytron.com.my/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=11077&start=10. 115.2K is not an issue for PIC operate under 20MHz crystal. PC and USB can operate faster, so the issue will not rely on PC or USB.
