Do you mean you want to program the AVR chip using UIC00B? Both of these programmers are designed to program different microcontrollers. We've never tried it and it is not recommended...logically it's possible though...

I like the above statement 8-)

I think it would be cheaper to buy the AVR programmer than to waste time hacking the UIC00B to program an AVR.

If you google PICkit2 to program AVR, you may get few useful link. FYI, UIC00B is Pickit2.
After you have tried out, please share it here.. thanks bro.. ;)

I google with "program AVR with pickit2" and came out with

http://dangerousprototypes.com/2010/04/07/program-your-avr-with-pickit2/

which pints to the program "PK2AVRISP" and when I clicked on the link it point to another link

http://pickit2avrisp.wordpress.com/ which was a dead link.

I doubt the program really exists. May be someone just want to fetch some $ out of it.

It exists but the thing has been no more after 2011, probably due to reliability issues.
PIC - UIC00B from Cytron (replacement for my broken PICKit 2), Pickit 3, MikroC for PIC
dsPIC - MikroC for dsPIC, mikromedia board (dsPIC33)
AVR - AVR Dragon
Parallax - Prop tool

If you need to program AVR stuff, go get one of the Cytron's AVR programmer. Or, the Dragon. :)
